- Betsy Summers was named the "Champion of Liberty" at the recent Libertarian Party of PA State Convention. Here's a photo of her surrounded by Pat Fallon and Shawn House. She's holding her Champion of Liberty award, a beautiful original drawing of Thomas Paine done by Eric Bakke (artist, illustrator, libertarian). Who says there arn't any hot chicks at Libertarian events!

- Jacob G. Hornberger at the LPPA State Convention. "Bumper" (as Jacob is affectionately known) gave "The Speech" at the Libertarian Party National Convention held July 4th, 1996, in Washington, DC. Mr. Bandow is a columnist and a senior fellow at the CATO Institute, a market liberalism public policy center in Washington, DC. Candace is an award-winning teacher, and charter member of the Separation of School and State Alliance.

The 1996 Xmas Party:
At the yearly Xmas party The Pocono Libertarians recognize someone as a "Champion of Liberty". In 1998, we recognized Gail Mastroberte for advancing the cause of liberty on a local level by running for State Representative in the 189th district.
